Principal's Message
Dear Wapato Middle School Families,
It is hard to believe we are already well into the 2024-2025 school year! As I reflect on the progress we’ve made together, I am filled with gratitude for the collaboration, dedication, and resilience demonstrated by our students, families, and staff.
Our theme, “Growing Stronger Together,” continues to guide our efforts as we strive to create an environment where every student feels supported and empowered to reach their fullest potential. This year, we have already made incredible strides toward achieving our goals, and I am excited to share some highlights with you.
Our Progress So Far
- Student Safety and Support:
We’ve launched new programs aimed at fostering stronger connections within our school community. Students have shared positive feedback about feeling more supported throughout the day, and our restorative practices are helping to build a culture of mutual respect and accountability. - High Expectations for Achievement:
Thanks to the hard work of our students and staff, we are entering our second round of benchmark testing and are optimistic about the results. Our continued focus on meeting each student’s unique needs through targeted interventions and support has laid a strong foundation for academic growth. We look forward to seeing further progress as students build on their efforts toward proficiency. - Welcoming School Environment:
Our efforts to create a warm and inclusive atmosphere have not gone unnoticed. Families and visitors have shared that our school feels inviting and welcoming. Events like our “Books and Bread” gathering, STEM Night, and our Holiday Concert have strengthened connections and celebrated our students’ achievements. - Family Involvement:
Family engagement has been a cornerstone of our success this year. From open house events to parent-teacher conferences and community nights, we’ve seen an incredible turnout. Your participation is instrumental in building the collaborative environment we strive for.
Looking Ahead
As we move forward, we remain committed to our shared vision. With continued focus on growth, equity, and engagement, we aim to build upon our successes and address any challenges together.
We encourage you to stay involved and connected. Whether it’s attending school events, supporting your student’s learning at home, or sharing feedback with us, your partnership makes all the difference.
