Dear Wapato Middle School Families,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new principal of Wapato Middle School. For those who may not know me, I am proud to say that I grew up right here in this community and graduated from Wapato High School in 2002. I have had the privilege of teaching at Wapato Middle School since 2007 and I also coached the girls soccer programs at the middle school and high school for 10 of those years.

My journey in education has been deeply rooted in this community, and I am committed to continuing the tradition of excellence at Wapato Middle School. Our theme for this school year is "Growing Stronger Together." This theme reflects our belief that by working together—students, families, and staff—we can create a supportive environment where every student can thrive.

Our School Community

Wapato Middle School is a wonderfully diverse community, and this diversity is one of our greatest strengths. We are committed to fostering an environment that celebrates and respects all cultures and perspectives. Together, we will grow stronger by embracing our differences and building a united school community.

Our Goals for the Year

As we prepare for the 2024-2025 school year, I want to share some of the key priorities we’ll be focusing on:

• Student Safety and Support: Ensuring that every student feels safe and supported is our top priority. We will be implementing new systems and programs to help students feel connected and cared for throughout the school day.
• High Expectations for Achievement: We believe that all students can achieve at high levels. Our staff will hold high expectations and provide the necessary support to help every student succeed academically.
• Welcoming School Environment: We want Wapato Middle School to be a place where students and families feel welcome and involved. We will be working hard to create an inviting atmosphere where everyone feels at home.
• Family Involvement: We want Wapato Middle School to be a place where students and families feel welcome and involved. Through our theme of "Growing Stronger Together," we encourage all families to actively participate in our school community. Your involvement is crucial to the success of our students, and together we will build a supportive and inclusive environment.
