Mark your calendars for a special evening of education as we learn about the dangers of opioid use in our community. It is all part of the “Healthy Youth, Healthy Families” event taking place Thursday, May 2, at 5:30pm at Wapato High School. Families will get the opportunity to participate in a “Hidden in Plain Sight” exercise which helps them become familiar with where and how teens might hide drugs or paraphernalia. They will also be trained on the use of Narcan and receive a Narcan kit. In addition, families will be treated to dinner and have some fun with door and raffle prizes. This event is being coordinated by the Wapato Wellness Coalition in partnership with ESD 105 and the Wapato School District. Please join us. If you have questions contact Brenda Cueva at [email protected] or 509-864-7674.
